Thursday 31st March

Dear Master Chicken,

Thank you very much for allowing me into your kitchen to batter my fish and chips.

Something I found interesting was seeing how you batter your fish and the layout of your kitchen. It was kind of you to teach me how to wrap up the chips and ask me if I would like to do it. I learnt that there is 3 steps in cooking fish, first you cover the fish in flour, second you dip it in batter mix and then you cook it.

I have never before cooked in a shop, so this was a very big experience. I hope you enjoyed teaching us, as much as I enjoyed learning how to cook the fish.

Your sincerely
Shavaugn Kinsella

Reflection:
I learnt that writing a letter to a business is quite different than writing one to one person.
I enjoyed learning a new style of writing.
Yellow_Traffic_Light.pngI chose yellow because it was slightly difficult writing a letter to a business.

Tuesday 29th March

Dear Mum,

Thank you very much for taking me on the Amazing Race.

I liked it when you stopped for our team when we got tired after a long walk or run.It was funny when we went to the wrong place because we thought we would follow the red t-shirts, and we didn't find out until about 10 or 15 minutes after we got there that the place we were meant to be at was further down the road.

It was kind of you to help us with difficult questions and run after us on the streets even though you have a broken toe and broken neck.

An activity I enjoyed was the Karangahake Gorge because it was exciting and it was a new experience for me. It was difficult when we had to do the swinging bridge and tunnel but we both completed it in the end with only a couple of little screams.

Something I learnt was that if you stick as a team you complete tasks easier and quicker.
